ADOPTIONS HOURS

Monday thru Saturday  - 11:00 A.M. - 3:30 P.M.

Due to the high incidents of Rabies in this area, you are required to pay for a rabies vaccination at the time you pick up your new pet from the veterinarian.

A "free" health exam is provided by our local veterinarians within 7 days of adoption. Our local veterinarians have reduced the cost of the spay/neuter for the animals adopted from our shelter and Paradise Animal Shelter Helpers (PASH), is paying this low cost for you.  Any pain medication supplied by the veterinarian at the time of altering, is the responsibility of the new owner.

IF YOU HAVE LOST A PET . . .

  • Search for your pet on foot and by car. Check with your neighbors, mail carriers, walkers, etc.

  • Post lost pet notices on bulletin boards with a complete description of your pet.

  • Come to the Animal Shelter in person. YOU are the only one who can positively identify your pet. Fill out a missing pet report at the shelter.

  • You must renew your lost or found animal report in person EVERY THREE DAYS with the Paradise Animal Shelter or your report will be deleted.

  • Advertise in local newspapers.

  • Check the lost and found in local newspapers.

  • Check with local veterinarians and emergency clinics. Occasionally people will bring an injured animal they have found to a veterinary hospital for treatment.

PREVENTION

  • LICENSE your dog and keep identification on your pet at all times.
  • Train your pet to come when you call.
  • Walk your dog on a leash.
  • Spay/Neuter your pet.
