Paradise Redevelopment Agency RDA Project Area Map

The mission and purpose of the Paradise Redevelopment Agency is to fulfill the goals and objectives of the adopted Redevelopment Plan 2003 and 5-Year Implementation Plan- the primary emphasis of which is the economic revitalization of both the Downtown and the greater Redevelopment Project Area.

The objective of the Agency is to eliminate the physical and economic blight and deterioration that presently characterizes the Downtown and greater Redevelopment Project Area.  The Agency is using a three pronged strategy to achieve this objective:

1. Initiate capital projects to improve the public infrastructure (i.e. waste water disposal systems, water and fire flow lines, drainage, traffic control, street lighting, pedestrian sidewalks, pathways and access, streets and roads, and public parking).
2. Initiate capital projects and programs to improve the physical apperance of the Downtown and project area.
3. Administer business and housing partnerships/incentive programs that encourage new business start-ups, existing business expansion, business recruitment and relocation, assist with the affordable home ownership and affordable multi-family and senior housing, support loft-residential housing over commercial businesses in the Downtown and support housing rehabilitation assitance opportunities.
