POLICE OFFICER:

Paradise Police Department: $3,449.33 to $4404.40 per month, plus career/educational incentive pay of up to $215.00 per month.

Duties will include but not be limited to: Patrol town in a marked or unmarked police vehicle; answer calls for service and/or the protection of life and property; enforce town, county, state and federal laws and ordinances; traffic enforcement; conduct both preliminary and follow-up investigations of various law violations, vehicle accidents, deaths, and other incidents; make arrests as necessary; interview victims, complainants and witnesses; interrogate suspects; gather and preserve evidence; testify and present evidence in court; administer first aid; serve warrants and subpoenas; receive, search, book, fingerprint and transport prisoners; maintain contact with citizens regarding potential law enforcement problems and preserve good relationships with the general public; This is a continuous recruitment.

PUBLIC SAFETY DISPATCHER:

Town of Paradise: $2603.47 to $3322.80 per month

This position will be a team member in the Communications Center, which includes dispatching police, fire and on occasion, other public agencies. Will monitor a multi-channel radio system; receive incoming requests for service, both routine and emergency; screen and prioritize those requests and then assign the appropriate public service agency response; operate various telecommunications equipment; operate a local 911 PSAP (Public Safety Answering Point); The position requires someone who will remain calm in emergency situations and handle confidential matters with a high degree of discretion. This position operates radio-telephone transmitting and receiving equipment; performs assigned clerical work relating to police and fire records operations.
