The organizational structure of the Town Government is described here. Learn more about Commissions, Committees and Boards here. The Town currently employs 87 full-time and 12.5 full-time equivalent, part-time employees. Approximately 68.79, or 79% of our total employees are funded through the Town's General Fund. Over 61 of our full-time employees are public safety (police, fire, 9-1-1 emergency dispatch), this personnel funded from the General Fund. Personnel costs (wages and benefits) account for 82% of the Town's Fiscal Year 2003/04 $8.1 million General Fund Budget, and public safety personnel costs accounts for 83% of all General Fund personnel costs. The Town also has over 75 citizen volunteers. These individuals volunteer countless hours supporting a variety of Town public safety programs and services. Their many contributions of community service represent a significant savings in costs to our taxpayers. These outstanding citizen volunteers include our fire volunteers, our volunteers through PASH that assist our Animal Shelter and our Volunteers In Police Services (VIPS) that include our disaster control volunteers.
