SPECIAL OPEN FALL BURN PERIOD FOR

PARADISE RESIDENTS WITH PERMIT

 

WHO CAN BURN:

  • Residential burning is permitted only with a valid burn permit. Permits issued in the spring of this calendar year remain valid for this special fall burn period. Otherwise,
  • Permits are available on-line at the Town of Paradise website www.townofparadise.com under the link “Get a Permit” or in person at Paradise Fire Station 81 at 767 Birch Street, ($25 cash or check).
  • All permits expire at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 10, 2017.

WHEN YOU CAN BURN:

  • Only on days approved by the Butte County Air Quality Management District (BCAQMD) (see your permit for more information).  Prior to burning please call BCAQMD at 332-9407 for daily burn status.

  • November 13, 2017 through December 10, 2017:  Both East and West Zones may burn on any of these burn days deemed permissible by BCAQMD.

  • 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (fire and embers must be completely extinguished by 2:00 p.m.).

  • All burning is suspended during Red Flag Warning.

ALTERNATIVES TO BURNING:

  • Residents who prefer an alternative to burning may contact Northern Recycling & Waste Services (530) 876-3340 and inquire about green waste cans.  Residents who have an existing green waste container may be eligible for a second container free of charge.
