November 3, 2020 General Municipal Election 

THREE SEATS ON THE PARADISE TOWN COUNCIL will be decided at the November 3, 2020 General Municipal Election. The successful candidates will each serve a four-year term of office beginning on the first Council Meeting in December 2020 through the first Council Meeting in December, 2024. The 2020 vacancies will occur as a result of the expiration of terms of office for the positions held by Greg Bolin, Melissa Schuster and Michael Zuccolillo.  The Town of Paradise is consolidated with the state general election.  Dina Volenski, Paradise Town Clerk, serves as the election official for the Town of Paradise and issues nomination petitions and files campaign statements and documentation. NOMINATION PERIOD:  The nomination period opens at 8:00 a.m. on July 13, 2020 and closes at 5:00 p.m. on August 7, 2020.  Nomination petitions must be issued by the Town Clerk and it is recommended that candidates make an appointment and allow 30 minutes to review the candidate nomination process and necessary documents required.  Town Hall will be open from 8:00 am to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 7, 2020 only for candidate filings.  If an incumbent does not file for office, the nomination period will extend for five calendars days, through 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 12, 2020.

CANDIDATES AND OFFICEHOLDER INFORMATION IN BRIEF:  Candidates and office holders are required to file certain financial and campaign information with the Town Clerk pursuant to Government code regulations that were enacted by the Polical Reform Act of 1974.  For specific information, travel to the following addess to access the Fair Political Practices Commission website: www.fppc.ca.gov  Click on the Campaign and the Form 700 link.
