Ron Lassonde, Mayor

Ron Lassonde was elected by his fellow Council Members to serve as Mayor for a one-year term ending December 10, 2024. 

Ron was elected to a four-year term of office on the Paradise Town Council on November 8, 2022.  Prior to running for Town Council, Ron served as a Paradise Planning Commissioner, appointed to a four-year term on July 21, 2020. Ron was also appointed to the Measure V Oversight Committee as an alternate on January 25, 2022.  

Ron and his wife Cindy moved to Paradise in November 2017. However, they have been coming up to Paradise and Chico to visit relatives for the past 40 years. Ron spent over 21 years as an officer in the Air Force, retiring as a Lt. Colonel. He then worked in the Telecommunications Industry, retiring after 21 years from AT&T in July 2018.

Ron currently serves as the Commander of the Paradise Chapter of Disabled American Veterans and was appointed by the Butte County Supervisors as a Hall Supervisor for the Paradise Veterans Memorial Hall.

Ron and Cindy are members of the Mountain Ridge Singers and sing at local area nursing homes on Thursdays. They are both active members at Ridge Presbyterian Church.
