The Town of Paradise joins International Code Council for the celebration of Building Safety Month 2023

Paradise, CA – Throughout May, The Town of Paradise Building Resiliency Center is proud to participate in the 43rd annual Building Safety Month, an international campaign to raise awareness about building safety. This campaign reinforces the need for the adoption of modern, regularly-updated building codes, and helps individuals, families and businesses understand what it takes to create safe and sustainable structures.

All communities need building codes to protect their citizens from disasters like fires, weather-related events and structural collapse. Building codes are society's best way of protecting homes, offices, schools, manufacturing facilities, stores and entertainment venues. Code officials work day in and day out to keep the public safe.

This year’s campaign, “It Starts with YOU,” raises awareness about our role in ensuring safety in the spaces in which we live, work, and learn. The campaign also makes the connection between building codes and our personal safety, as well as the important work done by building safety professionals in our communities.
