Front Lobby Hours

The Police Department is located at 5595 Black Olive Drive, across from the Community Park. The lobby doors are open from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. Monday thru Friday, for front counter services.  Front counter services include, vehicle release, cite sign-off, records requests, Live Scan fingerprinting, and any other services which require monetary transactions.  We continue to accept reports of crimes, civil issues and other inquiries 24/7.

If the lobby door is locked, there is a phone outside which rings directly into the Dispatch Communications Center.

Records

The Records section may be contacted at 872-6161 Extension 221.  Records requests are made at the front counter between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M. Monday thru Friday, with a signed request form. Records are released in accordance with Section 6254 of the Government Code.  Any fees must be paid prior to release.  Reports are not released the same day at the front counter.  The law provides for 10 days to comply with a public records request.  Reports must be reviewed to determine if it is eligible to be released to the requestor.  For further details, please see the Records Request Form.

Dispatch

Dispatch Services are currently being contracted with the Butte County Sheriff's Office.

If you have an emergency, dial 9-1-1.

If you have a non-emergency, you can call our 24/7 non-emergency line at (530) 872-6241.

Vehicle Release

Vehicles impounded for traffic violations are released only to the registered owner of the vehicle.  The vehicle must be legal to be on the roadway, i.e. current registration, one-day moving permit and a licensed driver.  If the registered owner does not have a valid license, they must bring someone with them who has a valid license in order to release the vehicle.

Release fees are payable at the Police Department before the vehicle can be released.  Towing and storage fees are separate from the Department fees and are payable at the tow company.

The fees depend upon the criminal violation for which the vehicle was impounded.

Citizen RIMS

The web page for Citizen RIMS allows the public to access the Paradise Police Department's crime data.  The idea is to make as much information as possible available in an easy to use website.  The public can access incidents by choosing specific date spans.  Crime mapping allows the public to filter types of crimes in the Town.  The Arrest log displays arrests for the past 30 days.  The public can also access recently stolen vehicles.  The website can be accessed on any computer or at the kiosk located in the lobby of the police department. http://ppd.crimegraphics.com/
