Roadside Vegetation Management Program to Start in the Town of Paradise Public Right-of-Way
Roadside Vegetation Management Program to Start in the Town of Paradise Public Right-of-Way
March 9, 2026
Paradise, CA - The Town of Paradise will begin hazardous fuels reduction and roadside vegetation management work this week along public roadways as part of the Town’s ongoing wildfire preparedness and community safety efforts. The work will be performed by the Town’s contractor, Arbor Pros.
This program focuses on reducing combustible vegetation within public road rights-of-way by cutting, mulching, and managing roadside vegetation that can contribute to wildfire spread. Crews will be working along road edges, drainage corridors, and other publicly maintained areas where vegetation accumulation poses a fire risk.
Work will occur only within public road rights-of-way and will not take place on private property. In some areas, herbicide treatments may also be used to help control regrowth of invasive species and maintain safer roadside conditions. Residents may see hand crews and specialized equipment to cut and mulch vegetation including a side-by-side for herbicide application and a track mounted masiticator.
All herbicide applications will be performed by licensed applicators in accordance with state regulations and safety standards. Residents who wish to opt out of herbicide treatments adjacent to their property may sign up for the Town’s No-Spray List at:

The Town also reminds residents that the public road right-of-way must remain clear for transportation safety, wildfire mitigation, drainage, and utility access. Ornamental landscaping, irrigation systems, and other private improvements should not be installed within the public right-of-way, as these areas are subject to ongoing vegetation management and infrastructure maintenance.
Work will occur in phases across multiple neighborhoods over the coming weeks. Residents may experience intermittent traffic control or temporary equipment staging in active work areas.
This program supports the Town’s broader wildfire resilience strategy by proactively reducing hazardous roadside fuels and helping maintain safer evacuation corridors throughout the community.
The Town appreciates the community’s cooperation as this important wildfire preparedness work moves forward.
