No Spray Agreement

The Town of Paradise is pleased to offer a "NO SPRAY" Agreement Program that allows property owners to request the exclusion of herbicide applications on road shoulders and drainage ditches adjacent to their properties. This Program accommodates residents' preferences while maintaining public safety and environmental responsibility.

Program Overview

The "NO SPRAY" Agreement Program allows property owners within the Town of Paradise's jurisdiction to request that herbicides not be applied to roadside shoulders and drainage ditches adjacent to their properties. Property owners must agree to certain conditions and responsibilities outlined in the "NO SPRAY" Agreement to participate in this Program. Only property owners are eligible for the Program.

How to Apply

Submit a Request: Property owners must submit a formal request to the Town of Paradise's Department of Public Works to initiate the process. The request should include your name, contact information, property address, and Assessor's Parcel Number (APN). Property owners may submit requests online through ParadiseWorks Service Request.

Agreement Terms

When participating in the "NO SPRAY" Agreement Program, property owners are required to adhere to the following terms and conditions:

Vegetation Maintenance: Property owners must maintain the vegetation along the roadway adjacent to their property. Maintenance includes keeping the vegetation closely mowed or weeded, ensuring it does not exceed a height of 4 inches. This upkeep is essential for preserving water flow, enabling pedestrian traffic, and establishing a fire safety buffer along the pavement edge.

Termination: The Town reserves the right to unilaterally terminate the agreement if it is determined, in the sole discretion of the Public Works Director or his or her designee that continuing the agreement would pose a threat to public health or safety.
