Energy-Efficiency Improvement Program
The Town of Paradise offers energy-efficiency improvements to its residents through a CDBG funded program. The energy-efficiency improvement program provides deferred, zero-interest loans to low income homeowners to help complete energy-efficiency improvements that will help reduce monthly utility costs and improve household safety and comfort. Types of improvements include:
- Increasing attic or wall insulation
- Installing solar energy systems
- Expanding existing solar energy systems, up to 10 kilowatts
- Adding or replacing weather stripping
- Installing low-flow faucets
- Insulating exposed hot and cold water lines
- Water heater wrapping
- Installing programmable thermostats
- HVAC duct repairs
- Installing timers on light switches
- Replacing single pane windows with dual pane
- Replacing gas-fueled appliances with electric on solar powered homes
Households who meet certain eligibility requirements based on Federal 2025 Income Limits may apply. Further information can be obtained from the Energy-Efficiency Improvement Program Flyer.
