For Immediate Release: Arrest Made in Child Exploitation
On September 26, 2025, the Paradise Police Department was contacted by a concerned citizen reporting that an adult male was engaged in electronic communications with a decoy account posing as a 14-year-old female.
The citizen provided evidence to investigators indicating that Devin Olah, a resident of Paradise, had sent sexually explicit material to the decoy, whom he believed to be a 14-year-old girl. During the course of these communications, Olah also attempted to arrange an in-person meeting with the decoy.
Following an investigation, on October 15, 2025, Paradise Police Department officers arrested Devin Olah for the following charges:
• 288.2(a)(1) PC – Sending harmful matter with intent to seduce a minor
• 664/288.3(a) PC – Attempted contact with a minor with intent to commit a sexual offense
Olah was booked into the Butte County Jail with bail set at $125,000.
