PRESS RELEASE: PPD Case 24-0277

Date: April 5, 2024

On 04/05/2024 at about 1:30 P.M. Paradise Police Officer Duong responded to the lobby of the Paradise Police Department on a report of stolen construction equipment.

In summary, the reporting victim advised officers a 2017 White Freightliner M2 dump truck was stolen from the parking lot of 5810 Clark Road sometime during the night between April 5th and April 6th 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM.

Connected to the dump truck, was a black Zieman 25' flatbed trailer carrying an orange Kubota SVL 75 Skid Steer and Kubota KX040 mini excavator. Officers collected evidence, spoke with business owners in the area and canvassed the town and other locations in an attempt to locate the dump truck and equipment with negative results. A this time the investigation is ongoing. The truck, equipment and trailer were valued at approximately $250,000

Prior to the theft, the vehicle and equipment were staged in anticipation of a project out of the area. The vehicles were later entered into the Stolen Vehicle and Automated property systems. A BOL was sent to surrounding agencies.
