Project Scope
The Rehabilitation Project repairs damaged sections of roadway and re-striping when necessary to rehabilitate 79 miles of roadway segments of roadway. The project includes a combination of pavement rehabilitation strategies depending on the severity of damage, modifications to nine signalized intersections, and construction of 48 ADA compliant curb ramps along with upgrades to non-compliant ADA curb ramps.
Project Description
The project will repair 79 miles of roadways that sustained heavy damage in the wake of the Camp Fire and debris removal efforts. The critical condition of the current roadways risks pavement failure and creates unsafe road conditions. The project will improve safety along public roads that are both a part and not a part of the federal-aid system. These arterial, local, and rural minor collector roadways are either evacuation routes or primary east-west connections to the evacuation routes.
